Terms of Service

Booking Confirmation

To secure and confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit is required. Your booking is not confirmed until:

• ✓The deposit has been received
• ✓You have received written confirmation from us
• ✓Booking agreement is in place

Payment Terms

• •Full payment must be received at least 7 days prior to the event date unless otherwise agreed upon in writing
• •Accepted payment methods will be specified in your booking confirmation
• •Failure to make full payment may result in cancellation of services without refund of deposit
• •All prices quoted are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable

Client Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as soon as possible in writing. The following cancellation terms apply:

• •More than 90 days before the event: Deposit forfeited
• •30-90 days before the event: 50% of total fee owed
• •Less than 30 days before the event: Full payment required
• •Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances

Our Cancellations

In the unlikely event that J W Sounds needs to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., illness, emergency, force majeure), we will make every reasonable effort to provide a suitable replacement DJ. If this is not possible, a full refund of all payments made will be issued. Our liability is limited to the refund of fees paid; we are not responsible for any additional costs incurred.

What We Provide

Our professional DJ services include:

• ✓High-quality sound systems appropriate for your venue size
• ✓Professional lighting equipment and effects
• ✓Extensive music library covering all genres and decades
• ✓Professional DJ with experience in your event type
• ✓Public liability insurance and PAT tested equipment

Client Responsibilities

To ensure a successful event, clients must:

• •Communicate specific requirements, special requests, and must-play/do-not-play lists during the booking consultation
• •Provide accurate venue information including address, access details, and contact information
• •Ensure adequate space for equipment setup (minimum 3m x 2m)
• •Provide access to mains power within 10 metres of setup location
• •Inform us of any venue restrictions or special requirements at least 7 days before the event
• •Allow adequate setup time (typically 1-2 hours before the event start)

Our Insurance

J W Sounds carries comprehensive public liability insurance covering up to £10 million. All equipment is regularly maintained and PAT tested in accordance with current safety regulations.

Limitation of Liability

• •J W Sounds is not liable for any damage to venue property or personal belongings during the event, except where caused by our negligence
• •Clients are responsible for providing a safe and appropriate setup location with adequate structural support
• •We are not responsible for injuries to guests or damage caused by guest behaviour
• •In the event of equipment failure, we will make every effort to resolve issues promptly. Our maximum liability is limited to a refund of the fee paid
• •We are not liable for consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of earnings, reputation, or opportunities
